The Stereoscope is shiped partialy assembled to reduce shipping costs. When you unpack it, attach the left temple marked with letter L to the left endpiece marked with the letter L and the right temple marked with the letter R to the right endpiece marked with the letter R. Each temple has a push pin that locks the temple in place. While pushing the pins in be carefull not to bend them. Your stereoscope is now ready for using.

Viewing stereo images on desktop monitors

Stereoscopic 3D images are best viewed at highest resolution possible on a given desktop monitor.

To view images on CRT or LCD monitors that have 4:3 aspect the recomended method for landscape aspect images is "Above and Belou" and the exact aspect is 8:3 which is considered as panoramic.

Portrait aspect stereo images are best viewed on 4:3 CRT or LCD monitor using "Side by Side Parallel" method and the exact aspect for stereo images is 3:2 just like the postcard photo from standard 36 x 24 mm film frame.
